История участия Академии наук СССР в международных биохимических конгрессах (1949–1961)

Аннотация

В статье рассмотрена история проведения первых пяти международных биохимических конгрессов, которые пришлись на период 1949–1961 гг., и участия в них АН СССР. Отмечается, что зарубежные организаторы конгрессов настойчиво приглашали советских ученых к сотрудничеству и это соответствовало желаниям АН СССР; в то же время установлению международных контактов мешало множество ограничений, существовавших в СССР. Показано, как на протяжении 12 лет эти ограничения постепенно смягчались, как отношение руководства CCCР к международному научному сотрудничеству эволюционировало от запрета участия советских ученых в зарубежных мероприятиях к разрешению такого участия, хотя и по предварительному согласованию с Политбюро ЦК КПСС. Изучение истории рассмотренных в статье международных биохимических конгрессов дает возможность получить представление об основных направлениях исследований в биохимии того времени, о роли отдельных ученых в их развитии, о роли социокультурных факторов в прогрессе биохимических исследований, о важности международных контактов. Отмечено, что главной чертой эволюции биохимии того времени было становление на ее основе нового биологического направления – молекулярной биологии.
