The characteristic anatomical and functional features of the affected eyes has been revealed along with the disposition of the examined children to developing postoperative complications that need to be taken into consideration for the correct diagnosis and prognosis of a given pathology, the choice of the adequate strategies for the treatment and the long-term follow up of the children presenting with congenital aniridia.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Результаты комплексного офтальмологического и общесоматического обследования 26 детей (49 глаз) с врожденной аниридией выявили наличие в большинстве случаев (92,3%) сочетания различной патологии переднего и заднего отрезка глаз: врожденной глаукомы (73,0%), врожденной катаракты (19,2%), помутнения роговицы (46,1%), гипоплазии сетчатки и диска зрительного нерва (15,3%) и др.
